Ok, so you have found a new PurchasePlus customer and want to secure their business and start trading with them. Congrats!

What to do from here?

Create a Quote from the Customer's PurchasePlus Buy List

  1. Ask the Customer to send you an exported Buy List from their PurchasePlus account (this export does not show supplier names or details, it is simply a product list, with unit/pack sizes with the matching PPIDs of their products).

  2. Follow the steps in this article, Create a Supplier Catalogue or Quote from a Buyer's Buy List, steps 1 & 2, and email the customer your quote in spreadsheet format. We won't be adding the Customer to this 'quote' catalogue in PurchasePlus just yet.

  3. If the Customer goes ahead and approves the quote, send them your new customer credit application/URL to submit. When you receive it back, create the new customers account in your own internal system, then you can add the buyer to your catalogue in PurchasePlus, and begin trading with your new customer!

Create a quote from the customer's product list & purchase history

  1. Ask the customer for a list of their products that they could potentially buy from you, with current prices they pay and usage/purchase history from the past couple of months. Or if you already have a list, move to step 2.

  2. Create a new spreadsheet from the product list & populate the new spreadsheet with all the details the customer provided you.

  3. Add your codes, prices & gst if applicable, PPIDs if you have them at hand.

(Note - aim at beating the current listed prices if you can, if not at least beat 50% of the list, and match the remaining 50%).

  4. Delete any lines that you don't supply.

  5. Save, and email the customer.

  6. If the customer goes ahead and approves the quote, send them your new customer credit application/URL to submit. When you receive it back, create the new customers account in your system.

  7. Convert your quote spreadsheet to a PurchasePlus catalogue, or create a new catalogue using your quote as your source.

  8. Add the buyer to your catalogue in PurchasePlus, and begin trading with your new customer!

Great job!
